Learn the art of pita with Jill Schweber!

In this 2-hour hands-on class we’ll make pita bread from scratch — kneading, shaping, and rolling the dough before grilling it over an open fire in the garden. We’ll learn how to read the dough by touch and understand what it should feel like at each stage. We’ll finish by enjoying the warm pitas together with dips like tahini and herby sauce.

Jill is a self-taught baker who believes that the best things in life are made by hand. She loves baking breads and desserts and growing food in her backyard garden in Oakland.
